Approval Summary
If you operate a food premises within the River Tees Port Health Authority boundary you may need to be approved by River Tees Port Health Authority.
Examples of the type of premises that are required to be approved by us are;
- Meat processing plants
- Meat preparation plants
- Minced meat processing operations and mechanically separated meat processing plants
- Cold stores

Regulation Summary
The regulation relating to the approval of certain food premises is Commission Regulation (EC) No 852/2004
Will Tacit Consent Apply
Yes. This means that you will be able to act as though your application is granted if you have not heard from us within 21 days.

There are no fees associated with this license
How to Apply

We aim to acknowledge your application within three working days. If you have applied electronically or online we will acknowledge your application via email.

There are currently no approved premises within River Tees Port Health Authority, however, should approved premises start up in our Authority, a register will be available to view, by prior arrangement, at our offices.
